Another one of the big players in Star wars has sadly passed us by but he will forever be remembered for spreading fear thought the galaxy as well as so much more that he achieved in his lifetime.

R.I.P. Dave

Took my son many years ago to a Cardiff convention.
He had his poster signed, along with Kenny Baker.

David Prowse IS Darth Vader !!

Sad news this morning about the passing of Dave, he was such a nice bloke. Met him several times and the first was at Empire Day in 1996 at Watford's Colosseum. He was funny and sang his money song when he came on stage. His was the first signature I got at the signing event, £2 back then, it's on an Empire Strikes Back press book. He was so friendly at the Star Wars events and had many funny stories :(

RIP Dave. The big guy will be sadly missed.
As a fellow Bristolian, this one cuts just that little bit deeper.

Can't believe in the last five years we've lost Carrie, Kenny, Peter and now Dave.
Such a shame that the rift with Lucasfilm was never resolved AFAIK.
RIP

Very sad to read this today. If I was pushed to name my favourite vintage figure, it would probably be either Darth or Luke farmboy. I just love the simplicity and ingenuity of them, even though they are far from movie accurate. They have a real charm to them.

Indeed Russ, 2020 then most rotten year ever :(

We have lost a lot of very iconic people, it's been a proper shitty year 😢

Such incredibly sad news. The physicality of that performance went hand in hand with JEJ's voice over. The look of anguish, even with the helmet on, when Palpatine is electrocuting Luke on the 2nd Death Star is so powerfull.
