End Of An Era - Toy Toni's Snoopers Paradise Cabinet
End Of An Era - Toy Toni's Snoopers Paradise Cabinet
Love him or loathe him, Toy Toni has been a fixture of vintage Star Wars collecting since the very beginning, including his cabinet at Snoopers Paradise in Brighton, which has been there for many years. Today while visiting the town centre for the first time since the second lockdown ended, I noticed that his familiar cabinet had some fetching glassware in it rather than the usual selection of Star Wars toys:
I thought he might have just moved to another cabinet, but I asked at the front counter and they confirmed he no longer sells there. Luckily Tim's excellent section is still going strong, and to be honest it's been better than Toni's for years now, but despite all of Toni's actions it still makes me a little sad that this cabinet, which I have bought dozens of things from over the last 20 odd years, is no more. He still seems to be selling on eBay though, so is maybe not retiring from selling vintage just yet!

Not walked into town for a fair few months now.. always popped in Snoopers on my way through.
Tis sad that after all these years, he no longer sells there, but also agree that Tim's stall does indeed make a worthy look... (shame he got robbed a while back)

Wow man, I haven't been to Brighton this year. That actually makes me really sad. Fortunately I never bought anything from him and I feel for the people who did but I did used to like looking at the infamous cabinet. A piece of history gone, crazy to think what his actual creations are going for on Facebook. Times change I guess.

Very nice, just like the 90’s, apart from the graded stuff. Thanks for posting.

Hope he's living in an underpass feeding off leftover seaside tourists chips.
Good riddance!

You don't own your toys, you only borrow them until you sell them or die!

I'm intrigued by that cabinet full of camera gear, the Pentax item in particular.
