Finally pulled the trigger on a Revenge proof card for my Princess Leia focus.

leiaproof1BT.jpg

My favorite purchase in quite a while!

My pre-production shelf:

(foreground) Princess Leia Organa hand painted, hand glued first shot, no dates, no coo, with thinner hand cut prototype cape
(background, l-r) Carrie Fisher autograph, SW 12 back proof, ESB 31 back proof, Revenge proof, ROTJ 65 back proof

I'm one happy Leia collector!
Love seeing everyone's new aquisitions!

Cheers all!

Far to many pickups since my last look in here to mention but have to say fantastic proof BruceW congrats! Really like StarWarsFan headset too. I've never seen one of those close up before. It almost looks like a prop

Here are a couple of my latest buys. A Clipper X Wing cardback to add to the run, with an X wing and bubble added for display, and a micro collection Luke Bespin test. Quite a few of these about but apparently they were used to test how much detail Kenner could get a way with on the whole line. The belt and figure are a bit more basic than the production figure behind him, and another figure with a big head small head difference.

Also making good progress on my loose 12" run. Here's Darth after a quick arm repair.

Interesting that there are still items for you to add to your collection spoons.
Nice comparison shot of the two Lukes, I think that the Micro Collection is very underrated.

Thanks both, and Nick still a few die cast to add, and the 12" has been an on off thing for me over the years. Sold a loose run 10 years ago and decided it was time to try again

Also sold my production micro run but recollecting that is for another day

Hi folks. Not bought too much of late, prices been sky high!

Got this carded Bib Fortuna through today.

Chuffed , good clean card , flat no creases

Decent price of £65 ebay... just too much for the £50 under thread.

Wee concern. The weapon is still taped, however the tape seems to come outside of bubble.. might of just had bubble stuck down on top of figure with weapon when originally sealed..??

Just to see if the norm or if anyone has figures like this?

Thanks.

Gordy

Nothing wrong with that, they taped the accessories in before attaching the bubbles so it's inevitble some were not perfect. I have a carded ROTG IG-88 with a piece of hair in the tape!

I'm really, really pleased with this new acquisition today, a 1979 UK store display for the Star Wars activity books by British publisher Armada (amended from the original US versions by Random House). This appears unused, the stands on the back haven't been folded, and it's holding 5 copies of each book.

This particular piece means such a lot, as I can recall buying these books as a kid in WH Smith in Teignmouth, South Devon, where we were living then. I don't remember the display, but it could well have been from one of these. I loved the books, spent ages doing the activities, and I'd use tracing paper so as not to spoil the original book (yes, sad, I know!). I did all the baking activities with my Mum, I've even found a diary entry of hers from February 18th 1982 when we made Skywalker Scrunchies! Some lovely memories.

What an amazing store display!

I do remember these books being sold back in the day but not the display either. Great pick up though and it looks so good with those books in it :D

Some great new additions lately guys and gals.

Love the store display, the fact that these survive when shops would have more than likely binned these once empty if fantastic.

Ace display Andy. I love these books though I think I was too young to own one at the time and don't recall seeing them. But as a graphic designer I love the design styles. I have two myself and wouldn't mind getting hold of the others at some point in the future.
