Loving the 50th figures! Really nice.

My Mando Retro set arrived this morning. Love them! First thing I did was remove the awful leaflets. Will have a go at the stickers later...

Mine turned up as well. After hearing a lot of negative chatter about them, I'm really impressed by them. Removing the stickers fills me with dread

Yeah, the stickers aren't the easiest to remove! Wish they would knock the stupid fake card scuffing on the head though. My son was comparing them to my vintage MOCs yesterday and found it very amusing!

Did you manage to get the stickers off in the end Andy? I've heard that they can be a problem although some people have had success with using a hair dryer (no use you my though, there hasn't been a hair dryer in the house since the 90's lol!).

 I always steal Rach's ;)

Mixed results. Most came off fine, hairdryer then gently peeled one edge. Takes a while to get it started. Once you've got enough peeled to get grip, you can heat and pull. Some left some residue, which comes off with patience and furniture polish. Need to be careful here, as the litho on these is nowhere near as tough as on vintage cards.

However, the ones on Greef and Cara were awful! They were welded on and just wouldn't peel in one piece. Both damaged the litho, so I ended up putting one of the stickers I got off in one piece back on to cover the damage on the Greef card :(

The leaflets are easier, just used a Stanley knife inserted at the bottom of the bubble where it's not stuck down, then carefully followed the line of the bubble edge down into the bottom left corner and about a third of the way up the left hand side. Then used tweezers to remove the leaflet and sealed back up with clear PVA applied with a brush (as per your advice years ago!) and then clothes pegs to hold together for a few hours. You wouldn't know they had been opened 8)

I thought those stickers might have been a problem and it's a shame you couldn't shift a couple of them but at least you managed to get a few off.

Sounds good about getting the paperwork out as well but I so wish they didn't include it in the first place or the stickers, it all feels a bit pointless. I picked up 4 of these figures and left Cara, Kuiil and Greef as I didn't want a whole bunch of them. I do like this series of figures though but it is a shame that the packaging is so poor in places for them. The card backs are so thin and the bubbles are thin as well which is far from what we had way back when they were first released in the 70's. All of Hasbro's other 3.75 releases also have better card backs and bubbles ect, so I really don't understand why they went so cheap with these (unless this is hasbro's idea for saving the planet?!).

Yeah, it's a shame the quality is missing on these. Pointless leaflets and stickers also. Surely they could do an easily peeled sticker?

Landed just as I got home from work. Boba's helmet was a little warped but it was a very easy fix, 2-3 second dip in some boiling water from the kettle and a gentle reshape fixed it. I rather like him, id of liked a cloth cape and braids more though.

Congratulations to her, he really is a nice one and the sculpt is top notch too. Has she got Mr Maul to go with him?

He made the trip through from our living room (I was enjoying him sitting next to our TV :D) to her bedroom and he looks great next to Maul , we just need a TPM Ben Kenobi now

Also got Crosshair and Hunter from the Bad Batch, but I'm not overly keen on them so I may move them on.
