There are 2? Dark grey version:screws are on the battery compartment side, scope dial is smaller, triggers and battery compartment screws are dark grey.
Black version: screws are on the other side, larger scope dial, triggers and battery compartment screws are silver. Both are made in Macau 1978.

Screws could have been replaced with empire or jedi version screws I think they differ in color. I will check mine when I get a chance.

I paid 20 pounds each (remembering postage is lots when you live at the end of the earth) As for the dark grey battery cover screws I believe they are correct because both the trigger & button are dark grey as well. I just found it strange that they would make 2 completly different guns:) I didn't realise there may be differences in ANH, ESB or ROJ releases?

There is a third version if not more, Luke's Laser blaster (ROJ) has a red button & trigger.
