My story is much the same as Snaggle's. I joined SWF back on the original site and for a time was a semi-regular poster I guess. I still check the site most days of the week, but obviously have been mainly lurking for the past few years (Rebelscum too). Its been interesting watching the site...

I have this book too. I concurr with the above - definately a first rate purchase if you're looking for vintage pictures.

Very sad to hear this. I don't know Gary personally either, but I've been aware of his tremendous collection and high-standing in the collecting community for several years. All the best for a speedy recovery - and I hope the deadbeats responsible get all that they deserve.

Thanks for that insight John - sorry I didn't pay full attention to what Joe had written previously. There's no chance I'll ever be going down the road of hunting for any, even relatively rare carded bootlegs - but it's interesting to learn a little about them. Cheers

Joe, that's probably the most impressive picture I've seen on any SW forum! 8) 8) 8) Kudos to you! I agree with Weasel. Truly amazing. I've never really thought about collecting any bootlegs before, but that's a pretty inspirational photo. I shudder to think of the years of hard work...
