Didnt watch it but was informed there was no mention of Toni, and the apparent Astons 'expert' called a Kenner HT a fake just by going by the card imprint on the rear.Whatever...if they dont know the difference between those, we are in a diabolical situation.

Seriously, AFA/UKG and Toni are laughing their balls off right now. I also find it ironic that many collectors who are absolutely shocked and devastated by what Toni done, are happy to pass on their Toy Tonis with a 'declared' status. That to me is both hypocrytical and laughable seeing as though many people think its ok to say 'Yeah, this is a Toni' knowing full well it will probably get passed on to other newer collectors for top dollar at some point. What do i think??? Sell the damn things for the price of an AFA loose figure and take the hit. Too many collectors 'bailed out' when this story first hit, and were quick to ensure their loss was minimal.

Still find it very strange how a vertain indivdual who started this hasnt said much on the matter-that in itself stinks to high heaven.

I hope Toni comes out with a response to this, and although it wont free him of guilt, he can make damn sure that the burden can be shared.

That's because he's up to his neck in it also

This is the suspect in question! Thanks Palitoy 78. Having read the whole thread it appears irrelevant that the offer is scrubbed out on the back and it has a long bubble but from what you said about the seal at the bottom Jason I think it is not a factory seal. Arse! I like this figure too. Still do and I will keep it anyway, it was one of the first ones I bought.

It's hard to tell with this one as Toni used the correct bubble, but the seal has no gaps which points at a Toni seal rather than a factory one.

Great watch! I wasn't aware of the TT situation at all until I joined SWFUK. I have two Palitoy 65 backs that I'm now a little suspicious about, may have to see if I can get one of you guys to have a look at some point. This has brought the issue to a wider audience which is good, if people/newbies educate themselves hopefully they won't get stung.

Rob. If you are coming to ff this weekend, and I believe you are, bring them along and we will have a look. You should be able to recognise Jason now after today, although he was heavily made up in his tv appearance.

Cheers Ben, it's pretty much been confirmed my Vader is legit and the Chewy is a Tony/later seal. Might bring the Chewy anyway

Nevermind i noticed who.

You seriously need to get more opinions on that as im leaning towards a different outcome.

Watched it with family last night and thought it was a great piece. Jason came across really well.

There's a wealth of information out there now, Jason's website especially helped me identify the couple I have in amongst my MOCs.

Again, I would suggest you bring it to ff where a number of reputable collectors will get the opportunity to look at the piece or pieces in question.

Yes, would be good to look at some live pieces after the presentation.

Cheers Jason

I'm just going by info in the TT thread, the list of known affected cards and what Jason said about the seal not having the little tell tale V of un-glued bubble at the bottom. He did (Jason) say though he's not 100% sure on this one cos Tony used all the correct components. I'll bring both the Vader and Chewy and we can have a look at them. Thanks guys for your help and advice.

It's worth pointing out again that nobody is 100% sure about any of this - most people agree the evidence is overwhelming, however there are few 'facts' so take Jason's (and others) hard work as a very helpful guide, but ultimately everyone needs to make their own decisions.

Edd is spot on - there is unlikely to ever be 100% proof that this happened unless Toni comes clean - and I can't see him doing that.

Agreed and don't expect TT to ever be brought to justice for this. :x
