My husband has recently collected his old Star Wars toys from his parents and is thinking of selling them. There are around 45 figures from 1977-84, all loose in played with condition and most don't have weapons. He has a complete Ewok Village, no box though, An At-At, the lights and motor work but chin guns missing and legs yellowing. There are also a mix of other vehicles and bits in various conditions e.g.) 3 Tauntaun, x-wing no cockpit, Rancor, speeder bike, Scout Walker, odd weapons, Imperial shuttle pod (ski missing), snow speeder (no cockpit) etc . He was thinking of selling as a job lot and has been offered £130 plus postage.Ben (obi-wan) I've got a spreadsheet with all the info but I can't seem to attach it. Below are a few photos to give you an idea. I would really appreciate some help, many thanks.

There's nothing on the photos that is stand out rare or particularly desirable, all run of the mill stuff and missing bits/discoloured. £130 is a very decent offer.

But is that all the figures pictured, or are there more. Might be worth seeing all the figures, there might be one or 2 that are worth more than a couple of quid each.

Sorry there is more but could only post 5 photos at a time, and needed to wait before post was accepted. I've posted 5 more photos and there are a couple more to come too, which I'll post after. Also need to apologise for typos in previous post it should say 2 tauntaun and Ben (obi-wan) is left over from a paste I was trying to do. Thank you for your help.

Please see below.

While nothing rare there, I'd have I thought £130 may be a little under what you might get if sold as individual items.

There's nearly 50 figures there in total, and even in incomplete/poor condition they can go for £1-2 each.

That said, the hassle of selling everything is sometimes not worth the few extra £

Not all those weapons are star wars though

Having seen all the photos, even though the condition generally isn't great, I would have said £130 is low. As a lot I'd be aiming for £200.

I agree, closer to £200 even as a job lot, split it and list it separately and you could exceed that. c£1-£2 per fig with the whiter of the two Stormtroopers and Boba looking to go closer to £3-£5 each, the village would make £40 even loose, it quickly adds up.
Selling as a job lot will clearly be easier and starting at £200 taking offers will deliver more than the £130 quote. Someone will have an interest in parting out the Ewok village as spares to recoup a lot of that outlay...

Thank you all for taking the time out to help us. I think with your feedback we will decline the offer of £130 + postage from the external party. I may well put it up for a job lot around £200 like you guys have recommended but if I did split if up would the lots below make the best sense and what would you recommend price wise? Also wondered what postage you've found the most secure and best value for large lots. On the weapons front my husband said that he knows some of the weapons in the group shot are probably from other toys he had the 80's, but as I wasn't sure I thought it best to put them all in. Many thanks.

Ewok Village
All figures including rancour and tauntauns
Vehicles including at-at, speed bike etc.

Not sure why this got missed out in the photos, but here's another item I meant to include in the group.

Just a quick note to say this lot arrived with me yesterday, well packaged and as described.

To other forum members I know we can be wary of newbies, on this occasion this couple couldn't have been more helpful or honest. 8)

I'll be keeping some for myself and moving other bits on so feel free to pm me if you are interested in anything.

Pays to play nicely all round...
To be fair the OP did everything right from the outset too; lots of pictures and an open mind regarding valuation. Best of all they didn't just post and leave like many do, they actually hung around and waited for responses etc.
Glad you got the deal and items you wanted :D

This is how all newbie posts should go. I only wish I hadn't already raided my parents loft and my friend's loft.
