hi guys sold this figure to a collector only for her to return it for a full refund and who can blame her?
85 grade my arse,it has 3 major flaws, what looks like glue in 3 places 1 to back of helmet and 2 on left arm? (sorry about crappy pics but can still be seen clearly, looks like dsc is wearing a rolex watch!!!!!)
not sure if its glue/resin from when ukg put him in the case

what do you guys make of this?

Did you buy it graded or had it graded? Contact Steve at UKG and see if he can put it right for you!!

I can't really see anything from the pictures tbh Bradley but I think DSC figures are supposed to have a "Rolex" aren't they? I always thought it part of his uniform and was factory painted?

You sound very upset with the grade it received yourself which is a bit baffling as I would have thought you'd have looked at the figure in the case once or twice before selling it?

Sounds a little bit like the buyer doesn't know what they are talking about and got a bit lucky with you as a seller because you hadn't really checked the figure was in a suitable "85" condition before you sold it.

If there are issues with the figure and it should have scored less than an 85 you'll have to get better pictures and inform Steve at UKG but sometimes damage does occur to figures once inside an acrylic case, not much they can do about that once it's been graded and sent back though..

Ha ha joe youre right he is wearing a rolex lol never knew that sorry definitely need glasses (so that's only 2 flaws now)

I did not check the figure for flaws before I listed it as I just presumed it was near mint (did not take it out of baggie) but I will in the future before selling graded figures.
I did not get I graded I purchased it within a lot of 5 ukg figures about 3 months ago and sold it on as it was not one of the figures within the lot that I wanted for my yoda focus so he was surplus to requirements sadly!
I am not annoyed with the grade personally, more annoyed it got returned really,if a figure has defects it should be downgraded that's why I took some better pics to illustrate this.
it may be glue from mounting him in the acrylic case, therefore that will of happened after grading?

It just goes back to the age old argument of how pointless grading is. There's no such thing as a perfect figure, even carded ones have defects like that.

I agree, in fact some carded ones look worse than that lol! People are mad, constantly searching for the impossible..I'd rather have a C8 figure for a tenner and be done with it than go through multiple high priced AFA graded ones in order to find one I was happy with..

This is a non-problem to get worked up about. Yes, the figure has the 'rolex' as it is meant to, and if those two tiny marks on the helmet and the arm are teensy bits of glue then they would doubtless scratch off with your fingernail. Anyway, isn't it the sticker that you are buying when you buy graded not the figure...

Outer rim !
I never see the point in grading a loose figure , surely a loose figure is to be out , unless it's a vinyl caped Jawa or a DT figure , I could understand the high value .

But most loose ones are out there , not sure you get the money back to grade and post and sell them

I can't see the problem here either, but if your not happy with it just contact Steve and give him the chance to sort it out.
