I arrived at my local carboot at 7am raring to go, all I ended up with was a scalextric car for 50p. To make matters even worse as I was leaving I passed a father and his young son at the snap van.
Nothing unusual about that, however the young lad was holding a vintage X Wing in one, a vintage Tie Fighter in the other. I don't know how I missed them but I was and still am gutted about it.

I feel for you Sabreman, you can't be all over the boot sale as soon as you get there (and there's always next time), I see people get nice things 10 feet from me before I get there ,( that's just fate ) but the reverse happens some times to and you just have to say that it's the fun of the hunt or it will mess with your mind.
I am not one to grab things out of cars etc. as I think that's just bad manners, as I would not allow people to do that to me, but if I see something on the way out of a car I will ask politely if I could take a look at it. It is just a fact of life that the best stuff always goes within the first 20 minuets of the boot sale opening, but I have a rule that I never pay the higher entrance fee to get in 20 minuets earlier and joint the grabbing kayos as that's just not me :)
I do the occasional boot sale too and its just a fact that I take about half my money for the day in the first 20 minuets its mad but also quite fun :)

nice Acton Man collectors booklet Cazza, that brings back memories of collecting the stars for gifts as a kid and like green shield stamps when you had collected about a hundred thousand of them (seemed like that as a kid  ) you could send of for the basic action man could you post a pick of the inside of the card , (a steel at a £1) :D

I'm going to be working in Leeds. If it all falls through and we don't do the job i might go myself while I'm up that way.

If you get chance I would highly recommend it. Its at the Marriot Hotel, my mate Ash and I are helping out usually find some good stuff there.
