Hello! I would like to ask for some help with determining whether this figure is real or a counterfeit. I bought it at a garage sale, but I have no idea how much it might be worth. Thank you very much in advance for your answers.

Counterfeit. The most immediate tell imo is the bubble stem, which should be flat. Well that , and the overly shiny cape and played with figure (see play wear to his hands). I'm sure experts on here will point out a million other things!

No worries. The figure on its own is probably worth 10-15 quid these days I should think. I'd imagine his blaster is a repro too but can't see that well on my phone.

The stem shape is actually correct for the VCJ moc as the bubble is much flatter on this version than the caped one (which has two bubble shapes, one that's the same as R2 and the other that is slanted half way up the bubble). The biggest tell that it's not genuine though is the sellotape that's been used to attach the bubble, you can see the lines where it joins the top of the bubble to the side.

Stand corrected. I thought the bubble stem on a VCJ was much flatter ! Glad the answer still the same 🤪 every day a school day

No worries and you may well have been thinking of the R2 style one as it is flat to the bubble, but the bubble is much deeper. There's also a piece of yellow card behind the Jawa on the R2 bubble , so that the figure is pushed up against the front of the bubble.

Still a custom though and I can't believe how expensive these original mocs are now.
