Will you all sponser me to grow a tache??

Hi all

I know this isnt the right place for this but as Vintage Section is the most viewed place I have put it here to get the most publicity. If a mod does want to move it into the 'Off Topic' section, no problems.

Right, I am growing a bit of face hair for the month of 'Movember'. Nearly 2 weeks in and its going quite well, although I am at that horrible itchy stage where you just want to shave it all off, but I wont.

I would love it if any of you would sponser me for doing this. I am raising money this time for a charity called RAFT which help people affected by skin disfiguring illnesses and damage such as burns, wounds, limb amputations and skin cancer. This is quite close to me as my wife badly burnt her arm at work a few years back which has left a nasty scar from her wrist to her elbow.

This is the start of a long term commitment for me. The summer just past, I comminted to raise £500,000 between 2 charities, so £250,000 each. One being RAFT and the other will be a esophageal cancer charity which at the moment I havent chosen yet. Got it down to 3 that I need to look into. This charity will be in memory of my dad who died of esophageal cancer when I was 19 so very close to my heart.

Anyway, for this first one all the money will be going to RAFT so would grately aprreciate any donations you can give. I have set up a Just Giving page here:

Yea i'll prob still have, be big and bushy by then, might even keep it all the time but dont think my Mrs will be happy with that. I'm opted for a goaty as the Mrs wouldnt let me go for the full moustache. Had to compromise but its still weird seeing me with a goaty. Will get pics up at somepoint.

Did this last year and bloody hated it. Looked stupid and vowed not to do it again

Cheers Rich. I must admit I have had to compromise with the Mrs. She said if I grow a tache she wouldnt go out in public with me so have had to settle with a goaty instead. Not quite the same as a taceh but I know my Mrs was serious so had to compromise. Dont mind it its just ****ing itchy at the moment. But if it raises some good money for charity them I'll put up with it.

Just giving this a little bump guys. Come on dig deep, I'll get my wife to take a pic when I get home to show progress.

It will be shaved into a 70's mexican style tache for FF2 thanks to the persuasion of Chris (Junior Chubb)

Yea its going great. Tache/goaty is getting quite long now. The Mrs wants me to get rid of it, banned from going near her at the moment!!! :lol: But she knows its for a good cause. Will be shaving it into a 70's style Mexican tache for the final weekend next week thanks to the pursuation of Chris. Might try and get a few more sponsers at the FF2 event.

Not really near my target for this one but to be honest Neil i'm happy with whatever I can get. At the end of the day it all adds to my grand total that I want to raise so i'm pleased.

Already planning my next event for summer next year. Gonna be a fun one that I hope will raise a lot of cash as it involves me going through some pain, I'm sure people will contribute well to see that!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Well the month of 'Movember' has come to an end. I would like to say a huge, huge thank you to Lee, Richard, Christian, Iain, Neil and Chris (hope I havent missed anyone) for the sponserships. Only kidding guys, I am so pleased with the amount I have rasied and it is a start towards my £250,000 target.
