Was there any Lobot baggies in that lot?

Thanks mate and no Lobot :( Seller did have some ESB figures (Lando, Luke Hoth) but no slaphead!
Oi you! Knock it off with the slaphead remarks! :D

This one has been a long long time coming.

It's only the Lobot to finish my German ESB run of 45 cards!

And here they all are together. Thanks to Jonathan Gladwell for the heads up on this card!

So much awesomeness.....AGAIN! Just a dream thread of acquisitions! Joe, that 8D8 is very cool and that display is incredible. I'm guessing the winner is out roomie?? Come on dude, chime in!

Great stuff on the high grade, Mark. I'm no grading fan, but to see a 90 is pretty damned neat, especially on a 30 back :)

I received my Vectis bits last week. The highlights are here. Although the Palitoy Cantina is the stand out bargain and by far my favourite piece (irrespective of the price) the job lots of oddities were by far the most fun to unpack and discover! So much cool stuff in there!

First, the Cantina. I don't think it's ever been properly assembled, or, if it was, it was done once when new then put back in the box. Not even the cardboard that was used for the bar of the back drop was properly curved or creased when it fit into the stand. The hole that the door frame fits in was unused. The sticker sheet (one small piece missing) hut been cut in order to get to the stickers  Whoever put this together was seriously anal! It's just incredible. It went below the radar because despite the description saying "complete" (less the yellow round stands) it only showed the base, the round table and the sticker sheet. No card bits and no door frame. It even came with two crisp and mint sets of instructions.

The boxed job lots were brilliant. Not only were they fun to dig through but they had a couple of real treasures I wanted. The two Waddingtons puzzles featuring the action figure (seriously hard to put together!) are in great condition although one is missing two pieces. The very cool Luke X-Wing mirror and, best of all for me, the two Super 8 home movies. It was really interesting to hear the feature on the podcast (22) this time round on the home movie market. At one point is was suggested they weren't available to the UK market. Although I had heard differently, here is the proof. The SW ANH colour and sound copy had a mail-order catalogue card in it. The original buyer of the film had carefully filled it out but never posted it off. It showed he'd purchased the film in the UK on 23-12-1979.

The ESB one I also love for the fact it's ESB and the case is very cool; reminiscent of those early padded VHS tapes.

Other items included an incredible run of 4 pop up books, a ROTJ Ralph McQuarrie portfolio, stacks of read along books with their tape and two with records a set of four West End Games (Assault on Hoth still sealed) and so much more:

Finally, this item really surprised me. It's the bestest odd ball item I have but it's to part of the franchise I never knew as a kid nor subsequently liked as an adult, but this has won me over.

It's a child's musical toy. Twist the yellow knob and it's plays the original Star Wars tune with the use of one of the metal comb music box mechanisms whilst the picture around it rotates. I actually uploaded it to YouTube (first video ever. I'm so down with it) but you'll have to turn the sound up!

Just awesome! I have no idea of its' current whereabouts; I got to play with it for 15 seconds before my daughter swiped it and legged it out of the room!

So you're the one who outbid me then!

If I'd have known I would've stepped aside Jason but you still would've had Derek Torc McLean going up against you.Glad it went to a good home! 8)

Great Lobot card Jason, amazing run....!

A little bit of an oddball item for me today, however I really liked it when I saw it and thought it would fit in nicely with the Rebel commando focus :D

Amazing range of new buys. Loving the Palitoy stuff obviously, but that musical box is cool as is the transfer set.

Nice stuff! 8)

I love looking through this thread - always something new. Something you may not even think of. High end crackers and bargains. And quite a few items that jog old memories.

Fantastic :)
