I would imagine this is the only surviving bottle of Palitoy champagne that was given out at the 1st of August 1975 warehouse launch party.

Absolutely ecstatic, I knew it still existed.

This is an amazing piece of history.
The fact this is from the launch is incredible enough but I've just enlarged pic and noticed the Palitoy reference

Surely the only one to exist??

Apologies for the length of this one. Its been awhile since I posted. I kept telling myself I hadn't picked much up but a combination of getting new acrylic at FF, Nick, Celebration and Facebook I had a sort out and realised I added loads.

First up celebration. I went thinking I didn't really want anything and ended up picking some really random stuff up. My favourite pieces are these Spanish Ewoks books. I have these two large story books and a pop up book. There are 4 in each set. These are great. The larger ones are about 18 inches high and look awesome on display.

I also picked up this piece. Its ex shop stock and has quite a bubble lift on it and some damage to the card but I think it displays great and the seller did me a great deal on the price. I have to thank JC for giving me the opportunity to put a Harbert in my collection.

Its the third Tusken I have, and my plan was to sell the other two to make way for it. I sold my trilogo but couldn't bear to get rid of the 12 back I had as the pair display so well together.

Again, I had no plans to pick anything up from Farthest from, then Nick emptied his box.

Lovely 48 back AT AT Commander

Even better, as I don't have one of these stickers yet in the collection!

Hypothetically speaking, do you think if I U graded this, AFA would include this in the acrylic and give it a mark out of 100?

All this untouched by human hand bullshit, and my sealed moc has got a pubic hair in it!

Then I recently picked a few pieces up via other channels. Im quite partial to an interesting MOC, something a little different to the norm, and I feel these certainly fit the bill:

Love this Rancor Keeper. Its got an SKU sticker, K Mart price tag and the offer leaflet stapled to the card. I saw the pic of the shelf talker Grant put up that these came from. My theory is perhaps K Mart didn't have room or couldn't put the talkers out so someone maybe decided to pull them off and staple them to the cards on the hangers.

I also got this miscard. The bubble is squashed right down but its fully sealed and a cool combination imo.

Finally, this piece I got from JC, and I absolutely love it. French Meccano trilogo with a fairly special, rather unique bubble:

Absolutely no need to apologise for the long post, awesome items.
Why am I so drawn to the Ewoks items? And that Italian Tusken, just wow! 8)

By the way, I also have a pubic hair in my Meccanno Jawa bubble. Its been graded but no mention of the hair, not happy because I consider it a valid variation

Some lovely bits showing up. I really like that Rancor Keeper. Anything unusual like that I love. Palitoy Landspeeder is very nice indeed. Also that Tri Han Carbonite, just looks too big to be on that card haha

I hope you don't mind something non-vintage here. I'm justifying putting it here because it's unique and it's something a bit different.

At Celebration Europe 3 there was a Biker Scout Helmet Project. Artists and designers were asked to come up with a different take on the Biker Scout Helmet. There were about 20 odd in total and some of them were simply astounding. They were all to be auctioned off for the fantastic Make-A-Wish charity after CE3. Some of the best went for over £2,000 on the auction (eBay hosted). And the a couple I really wanted did go for more than £1,000. I was determined to get one and I did. Not even in my top 10 choices, it has to be said, but pretty much the cheapest that sold  Anyway, that aside, I absolutely love this thing. It was No. 8 in the series and called the "Burgonet Biker" (Burgonet being the a type of 16th Century helmet that this helmet is similar to in style).

No photo will ever do the incredible detail of this thing justice. You can get centimetres from it and swear it's metal. It's GRP. It has cut marks, paint wear and rust. A brilliantly crafted hinged visor (in two parts), a padded interior and a chin strap. It was created by DB Props Shepperton whose work has been seen in Guardians of the Galaxy, Mission Impossible, Capt. America amongst others. And a damned fine job they did of it too.
