Blonde, or brown?

It's common knowledge that the Luke farm boy come with blonde hair & brown hair (there are also a few rare ginger Luke's knocking about) But I sometimes wonder why Kenner/Palitoy decided to do both types of hair color. I like to think two employees argued about Mark Hamill's hair being blonde or brown because Mark's hair color is somewhere in-between, so we ended up with both types. What do you guy's think?

I prefer the blonde one because it's the one I had as a kid but being as it's bright yellow I think the brown hair looks better and is closer to Mark Hamills' barnet. They prob just changed it to keep things fresh and make a change for changes sake or it may have simply been a different factory or a difference of opinion by members of the design team? I'm sure someone has a definitive answer.

Actually both parties pro blonde and pro brown signed an agreement to mix their colors and in the end we got orange hair. Three weeks later the production of that figure was stopped. :lol:

Btw, I was on holidays for the last three weeks so I'm back and eagerly awaiting to read all the new acquisitions and posts...

Dark brown and light brown, as well as different shades of yellow ( lemon etc)

For me the yellow is the one I remember, I think the light brown was Europe, dark brown US, but I will leave that to the luke experts :wink:

I rem getting a brown hair Luke as a kid and changing it for a blonde hair example. My Luke Bespin also came with brown hair.
