I don't know the area and have no idea if this place is any good to meet but looks like there's loads of space and a decent outside area, let's just hope it's decent weather!

Hi all,

Just to help out a little . Good choice , nice pub right in the heart of the excel complex . Would be a good central place to meet for everyone for the Thursday night meet up and other nights. I worked in the area for a few years.

Hope that helps I will be the guy sitting in the corner with my t shirt on.

Fox is ideal, nice pub, good prices, lots of space and just outside the front doors of Excel..

I'll be there Thursday setting up during the day and am staying in the premier inn next door to excel. There'll be a bunch of us there aiming for the bar !!

There appears to be 2 Fox bars, the Connaught which is a short walk away from Excel and the one actually at Excel.

Any preferences?

Fox at excel, you can fall out of excel into it and there's outdoor tables, big bars, loads of space

Looks like there is no argument on where we are going to meet up and have a drink but what about food? I found a few lists of restaurants near the excel, not many indian restaurants though by the looks of it:
