Ok I got a reply from Wolff for you -

I dont know honestly. These Vaders popped up not long ago. I first thought they are just short shots....like on some Han Hoth and Luke Bespins figures etc....

There are production figures with no markings at all for example the China bagged IC but there is no known origin of these Vaders...maybe also consult Lee_M?

Still waiting on Bill to reply although he has the pictures!

Will try and contact Lee for you too mate

I cant confirm exactlly what it is, but it definatelly looks vintage.

Andy has shown me pictures of the feet and there is pegholes, so it is not a top toys.

My understanding is it was bought here in the UK in the late 70s/ early 80s.

Sorry guys I should have mentioned one of the pics ChazB sent me the other day showed the pegholes, I meant to post that info but it slipped my mind. Bill is checking his variants and will get back to me but it does appear that nobody really knows where this comes from at the moment. Mysterious indeed.
