Something a little different...
... for the last couple of years my wife has been making cakes for a hobby. To be fair she started off ok, but now some of her stuff is awesome, taste great as well.
Word has got around and she now is busy making, birthday, christening, baptism, pregnancy, retirement, wedding and any other excuse for a cake cake.
I thought i'd post a couple of her previous ones.

The Yoda cake is about a year ago, the R2 was for my birthday nearly 2 years ago and the Clone Trooper was one of her first in 2009.

It's my birthday in a couple of months, what type of cake should i ask her to make?

Her most recent stuff though is fantastic, i'd put some up but, they aren't Star Wars based and you'd end up hungry!

They are quality mate - my birthday is in June - when do I need to get my order in ???

I reckon you should get a Rancor Monster cake - loads of chocolate !!!

Those are great. Tell her to get a web-site sorted and advertise. There's money in them there cakes...
How about a Death Star cake! 8)

Brilliant, well the crumbs and cut offs etc all end up going with me to work. The lads absolutely love it.

Thanks for the kind comments. I've suggested that she goes along the business route with her cakes but with being a Nurse and a mum to our twins, as well as running the house and looking after me, we both reckon she's a bit too busy.
With regards to having my/her own cake thread, i won't even attempt that, as it's probably against a rule. God forbid i put anything like this on one of the other forums (judging but whats said about some of them  ).

Instead i'll just put a few of her recent efforts up now.

Iain, i'm sure we'll be up to Norwich in June, we can discuss what cake you want over a beer on Friday!! :D

This one was for a mate at work for his designer obsessed wife (it's all edible!)

 Mate that is talent! She should be bloody proud of those I'd order one myself but I don't know how it'd handle shipping to Oz! :D

Seriously great work!

Wow! She is very talented :)

I vote for the following cakes:
1) Jawa Sandcrawler
2) Tatooine Skiff (that would be a real toughie)
3) Landspeeder
4) lastly- everyone's favourite- Millennium Falcon 8)

I think you need help Ed, your so addicted to Jawa's now you want to eat one!

Mmmm Millyummyium Falcon.

:? Tell me about it.....
I could always wash it down with some jawa juice!

Amazing work though. I'm really impressed 8)

Let's hope you don't copy and paste that one to the bottom of a quote!!

you should be very proud mate. those cakes are truly brilliant. my wifes got a friend who does something similar (not as good to be honest), she can charge about £40-£50 a pop. for every cake she sells, you get a new figure :D

Hi Guys,

I've been absent from the forum for ages it seems. Have been working away a lot and not always with internet access.

I'll have to get busy catching up on everything i've missed; new folk, new purchases, new scandals etc!

My wife promised me a birthday cake and seeing as its the Easter holidays and the house is full of kids i think she's done me proud!

She even bought me a T Shirt with UTINI! written on it.
