Banning him may not be as simple as it sounds. Trolls have a habit of signing up under multiple accounts (as he has done so already on his own forum) and returning. It's more effective to ignore them in this case.

exactly as Jason says, there's little point banning people because they can always just sign up again using different email addresses/computers etc. This new forum has a handy feature - add him to your "foes" list in your preferences, and you will never see any of his posts. If everyone does this, then he will get bored pretty quickly.

Regarding mods, I agree we could do with a couple more, as I'm not on here much and Jabba has a fouler mouth than most others :lol: So if anyone else would like to join the moderating team, just drop me a pm.

Ignore lists aren't that effective. Everyone must do it, which they don't and they can be circumvented by signing up with a new account. Not responding to the posts and PMing a mod so they can be removed is much more effective as the troll can see that nobody is responding to their posts and then their posts disappear. Double whammy.

Thanks for all the response, still quite new to all this forum etiquette so it's good to see everyones take on the matter.
There are 'shits & ****s' in every playground and i doubt most are offended by these, it was basically the general atitude/rambling of the said individual that was/is a spoiling influence on this forum and it was a sad to behold.
Anyway, his posts apear to be drying up and personaly i'll try to ignor any further ones.
