No not yet, I'm still catching up. Watching the 2nd season at the moment. Even thou Tundra9 told me to skip the 1st 3 seasons & start from season 4 because all the action starts there lol.

Well surely if enough noise is made about it they'll pull a family guy on it?

Yeah let's start an official petition! 8)

From all i can read it isnt as simple as 'Pulling a Family Guy'.
I think the issue is the Contract Lucas Films had with Cartoon Network, or Warner Bros as they really are. Disney just don't want their IP shown on a WB channel. Right now it doesnt even look clear who has the rights to show the backlist of episodes. That said Disney have deep pockets so if they wanted to buy out the contract i am sure they could. But also wasn't it said that the CW were amongst the most expensive cartoons ever made and without the synidaction revenue WB were paying Lucas they can't justify spending that much for no income. If you look through most of Disney's cartoons (and those of us with kids of an age saddly do) the production values are quite low, some of the Junior stuff in nice but all very low cost. The revenue all comes from the spin off merchandising. Which leads me to another thought. Does the end of the CW cause Hasbro and Lego a headache? Here are two companies that have recently paid out for massive 10 year licences on SW but now find that they have no media to base their ranges around. This years SW Lego is mainly based on Episode 2 and the Clone Wars, both of which have been pulled. Likewise a lot of the Hasbro stuff is CW based. With no new film until 2015 at the earliest that is several years without media exposure. Both companys make toys for kids and if kids, who lets face it aren't known for long term memories, start watching other shows then they will want to buy toys in line with their new viewing habits. I doubt that Lego SW or Hasbro SW toys will go away but i can see all these cancellations really hitting their bottom lines in some way.

Lets do it June!

Gutted tbh although an interview I've just watched with Dave Filoni had a sneak peek at one of the forthcoming episodes (if shown) looked really good - start of order 66?- cant recommend this highly enough - mauls return, anakins evolving distrust of the jedi order involving his padawan/ tarkin, jangos home planet, planet of witches where maul and his brother came from etc etc, fills in a lot of gaps

So is disney the reason why we don't get a season 6 ?

Hasbro announced at the beginning of this year that it would not be making anymore animated clone wars. The toys have been rotting on toy shelves for the last couple of years.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

First remolded vintage sabres now this, **** you repro men and **** you Disney. Its not a good day.

I did hear the last season would air on a Disney channel, or was I just imagining things.

I read something interesting about Tolkien the other day...

He had a clause that his material could never be used by Disney, this guy new what they where about way back when and made sure even after his death they couldn't get their grubby hands on his material, where as our boy Lucas couldn't wait to start suckling on the Disney Nuben...

Tolkien and Disney...
Nice clause shame it never came to pass even if it was true. Miramax developed the LoTR films and who owned Miramax from the early 90's through to 2010.... Disney :)

Really could be true, most of LoTR is a commentary about his views on the changing world the growing industrialisation and the loss of 'old England' as he saw it and through his estate they have always been very protective and controlling, way more than Lucas ever was so avoiding a big bad company like Disney would make sense, I am sure he wouldn't want to see Golumn with big fluffy ears and brown eyes singing songs - although there is something about that I find oddly appealing...
I actually think Disney were a silent owner in Miramax anyway and the Wienstien Bros ran the shop.

Would be nice to think there was a bit of truth in it, might be worth finding out where the rumour I heard came from.
