Hi folks,

I see some of you are using the billy shelves from ikea - I was wondering what the distance between the shelves are when evenly spaced?

Thanks in advance,

Nick

I got these for my figures.

For the higher model you can use the five included shelves to create six equal spaces of 30cm (11.8 inches) in height.
The center shelf is "fixed", the others you can move about.

For the lower model same story, only you have three spaces, with no fixed shelves.

No problem. You looking into buying these for the collection?

There's several options with IKEA when it comes to display cabinets.
I've looked into several, but Billy was really the cheapest and best option.
The glass doors are perfect, without view-restricting frames.

For displaying loose figures the Berty and Jarna were perfect, but both are discontinued (might still be found on the secondary market though).

Yeah, just been working on a set-up for the room and making sure room is big enough.

I took a through-door off that wasnt being used in the room, plastered up the hole in the wall and then cut a hole in the plaster and built a shelf unit into it. Got an acrylic sheet cut to screw onto the unit - My loosies will go in here. May have to make some modifications to it if I decide to add LED lighting to it.

Picked up several of the detolf glass cabinets and stored them in my garage to put up as needed. This will be lit, and used for a focus (or several). Got some plinths built up to raise them off the floor - 30 cm high.

I was looking up the billy ones for MOCs and smaller vehicles/playsets. I like the look of the corner unit - will have a play around with the shelves in case I can get more items on by adding the loose shelves you can buy.

Not quite sure what to do with larger ships, may have to be something custom.

And seriously, how does anyone display a boxed Imperial Shuttle?? It's way deeper than everything else!

I've managed to fit a sofa-bed and a 42 inch telly too for when I need to escape the family haha.
