Resealed?

Hi everyone. New to the forum. I was a big collector as a kid like most, and now have gotten into collecting unopened figures.
I purchased this as a never been opened figure, but with the tape as shown I doubt it is. Please let me know what you think as I'm new to all of this.
Also, any suggestions as how to spot fakes/reseals/etc as a new collector?

I tried to get a little better pictures. The tape is on the bottom of the bubble and on the backside as well.

Ah…possibly had a bit of bubble lift at the bottom and has been taped.
I would suggest leaving it as is.

Thanks! Any suggestions on what to look out for with fake cards or reveals?

Up to this point I've tried to stick with yellowing bubbles just to make sure they are real.

I'm pretty sure the tape is factory applied, I have a graded Emperor 77A and I'm pretty sure it's the same, will check when I can be bothered later.

Yes the tape is factory applied I can't see or think why the tape is used. It doesn't serve any obvious purpose. The Emperor 77A was made in Hong Kong in the Unitoy factory with the HT factory code. Here's mine.

I thought that might have been something done at the factory due to the weight of that figure. The rest of the bubble looks fine though and most reseals are fairly easy to spot as there will be some litho tear to where the bubble was opened. Saying that though I do have a couple of reseals in my collection that are very hard to spot but if it's early ones they are sometimes missing their footer or have the weapon in the figures hand, so keep an eye out for things like that. Also, if the bubble has been taped back onto the card back you can normally see the where the tape joins each side of the bubble underneath the seal.

Always worth throwing it up on here though if you have any doubt.

These pages may help. The best way though is looking and handling as many as possible and after a while you will be come an expert.
Also look out for Stan Solo Creations, he does new fake cards and figures, but are clearly marked, if you know where to look.
Have a look on eBay for his stuff and learn where he marks his "Creations".
