Santa Cruz Skateboards™ is honored to announce the officially licensed partnership with Lucasfilm™, featuring a limited edition collection of Star Wars™ skateboard decks and cruzers.

Known for some of the most iconic graphics in skateboarding history, Santa Cruz has created original illustrated graphics of classic Star Wars™ characters available on both decks and complete cruzer skateboards.

Four Star Wars™ skateboard decks are available in either "Collector's Edition" or "Shred Ready" models so you can set up one to ride and keep the other in its highly collectible packaging. The "Collector's Edition" is packaged in a vintage toy inspired blister pack and includes a laser etched numbered deck, matching laser cut Certificate of Authenticity, and a deck art poster. The "Shred Ready" model comes in standard shrink-wrapped packaging.

The cruzer offering consists of five extremely functional shapes and sizes adorned with vintage inspired, Santa Cruz illustrated portraits of your favorite Star Wars™ characters. All Star Wars™ cruzers feature the same high quality components you would expect from Santa Cruz.

A stand out piece in the collaboration is the Darth Vader™ Wood Inlay deck. The entire graphic is constructed using laser cut Maple, Elm and Walnut Burl wood veneers that are then individually hand assembled. These incredibly unique decks are laser serial numbered with matching numbered Certificates of Authenticity and encased in its own custom foil printed and embossed, foam lined display box – a must have for both Star Wars™ and Santa Cruz Skateboards™ collectors.

Look for new offerings throughout 2014.

Product will be available Worldwide Feb 17th.

I'm grabbing the Boba in the package from a contact. The packaged ones are very limited and will sell out instantly apparently

Whats the damage on a collectors edition?

Not sure what the RRP is, I'm getting my direct from the distributor.
A regular deck sells for about £50 - £65 in the UK so factoring in the packaging laser certificate and poster in the package I reckon will stick another £20-30???

Awesome :) If I was a skateboarder I would go for the Leia slave girl one. Some cool designs 8)

These came out over 20 years ago unlicensed by Plan B, and in my opinion are 100 times better artwork and placements. These go for a huge sum of money now if you can even find one of them

Been a keen Skater from back in the day and once owning many Plan B's etc 20+ years ago I'd love a set of the Plan B ones. I don't know about the Santa Cruz models but possibly in 20 years they'd be as popular as the older plan Bones are now.

Cool and thanks for the heads up tho,

Grant.

Plan B was the **** back in the day killer team and Questionable still stands up today as one of the best vids ever. Duffy, Way, Hensley, Mullen, Carroll, Sheff unbelievable talent. Almost as good as the late 80s HStreet team :D

The PlanB paint work easily pisses on the Santa Cruz.

TBH not a massive skateboard man myself. I prefer Santa Cruz in the 2 wheeled variant.

Saying that Just picked up my First ever 29er today. Going to taking it out over the weekend for a good thrashing. Going to feel strange stepping up from a old 2001 26.

I totally agree Dude. My favourite company was New Deal tho, I must have skated at least 6 decks of theirs. I loved the fat front ends. Rick Ibaseta was probably one of THE best for me. The last deck I ever owned was the Plan B Danny Way, Grind Kink Trucks (coz I always used to snap king pins) except theirs and I used Milk Pin head wheels. I also loved WI Skateboard decks too. Dune was another I owned.

Ah the good old days...

Regards,

Grant.

I have a set of the collector's editions for sale if anyone is interested - I just posted about them in the Modern Collecting bit before I found this thread.
