Hey guys

As you can tell by my Avatar I'm a big Sid James fan

I know there are a few of you who are fans also - Does anyone have a fave film, TV programme with the man himself in it.

He was an accomplished actor and was in over 100 films,.

So lets talk Sid James Yak Yak Yak

One of my fav films of the past was the Powell version of the 39 steps, loved it , which led me to watch the original with Kenneth more to my surprise was Mr James, cracking part

Loved him the carry ons

Love thy neighbour was brilliant, but wouldn't get a show now :?

He was definitely a great actor, and a funny man :!:

Didn't realise he was born in. S Africa,

Top actor totally agree :D

I know carry on is what he's known for, but I love his performances in Hancock's Half Hour

Definitely a fan he is old school and I love that, I know he wasn't politically correct but who cares, back then actors like him could get away with it.

Loved him in the Carry on's especially

Carry on Abroad, Camping, At your convenience, Girls and Matron.

Yep - born in South Africa and didnt get to the UK until he was 40

Hancock was great, good list of carry on's there Paul

He was great in Hell Drivers a little known Gem

Other films to look out for:

The Silent Enemy
Once a Jolly Swagman
The Lavander Hill Mob

and also a british B movie "what a whopper" - Jonathan Ross said of this film - it was the sort of film I would bunk off school to see

Love It :D

It is a great movie Martin (as are most of the ealing comedies) have you watch the Titfield Thunderbolt? Sid's in that one also.

I always find it amazing that young kids even know who he is 37 years after his death
