The Black Endor Blaster!

So! I read in another thread that there is a difference between the Imperial Gunner and A wing Pilot black Endor Blasters (which was news to me). Can someone please further enlighten me on this topic, as I'm trying to source a blaster for my minty fresh A Wing pilot and wouldn't want to pair it with the incorrect version.

on tig it states that both the 2x last 17 figures imp gun / awing pilot came with solid black blasters. and there are 2 variants of the black blaster

ive no idea if one variant came with one particular figure

My A-wing pilot is from my childhood, and luckily still has his pistol, which upon closer inspection is V3. I bought an Imperial Gunner last year at a toy fair and he came with an identical weapon. It's news to me that the 2 versions were specific to their respective figures.

Aw nuts, guess that's another piece for the wish list! Great info though, thanks to the resident sages.
