Wow. It's been well over a year since I've updated this thread. Plenty of time during lockdown so I thought I'd get around to snapping a few photos of how the collection is coming along. One answer - slowly but surely.

I still haven't commissioned anyone to build my bespoke cabinet so disappointingly I still can't display my loose run. I said that last time as well. I had bought a GW Acrylic case to display my Spanish PBP figures and I've added another to display my Yoda loose focus. Also my current favourite piece - the First 12 Display stand finished off beautifully in one of Christian's cases. Now to add the Early Bird Certificate Package.

I have not added many new pieces to my vehicle and boxset collection (except the Creature Cantina Playset from Vectis last May) but what I have done is got around to displaying more of them thanks to Christian at GW Acrylic. I've even got sample cases of his Tri-logo Rancor and Creature Cantina Playset ahead of them hitting the shelves later this year.

In 2018 I started collecting MOCs and have begun an offerless 20/21 Back run. I have got 8 of these now including my latest, Chewie, at Echo last October. This year I am hoping to add more to that collection so if anybody gets any good leads at a good price please let me know. They need to be offerless, have the pop and with no cracks to the bubble. But it won't be for a while as lockdown has screwed with my cash flow.

Thanks for looking
Jay

Well done on your loose run, and well done too on that nice Scout Walker!

I like the idea of slowly taking over the bookcase by stealth! Very sneaky

No, got him off Jamie Brown on Jabba's Palace auction. I only have one GW Acrylic Case at the moment and I've just picked up a Luke Jedi, so Logray's been relegated already!

Post us an updated picture when the books on the bookshelf are replaced with figures .
That's the plan though I want to display my loose figures in a cabinet on the opposite wall just like this one

Yeah it's a bloke in America who builds them. The cost to build and then ship to the U.K. is prohibitively expensive so I bought one of his graphic kits and am going to get someone to build it locally. I've been saying it for 6 months though and keep spending my savings on more figures and ships

The finished article would be nice to see then. One improvement I see straight away is the lighting. Lit from bulbs at the top I assume which decreases light reach to the bottom. Perhaps an led light rope around the display would work better?

I've added a few pieces to the displayed collection and updated the first post with an up-to-date picture.

1. You've already seen the Scout Walker but I've included a pic below of the contents.
2. I recently picked up a MIB Landspeeder which I'm really chuffed with (and included a pic below). It's one of, if not, my favourite vehicle. I love the hover effect, and I'm a big fan of the Kenner pop-up bonnet version.
3. I've had a MIB The Rebo Band for a while but recently picked up a version with the original baggies which I've been able to add to the piece (pic below). Max Rebo is porn star blue and I'm really pleased with him.
4. I picked up my first offerless 20 Back - Sand People; and am hoping to start a run.
5. I also picked up a Luke Jedi 77 Back which doesn't fit in the run but is one of my favourite figures so had to stay (I had to sell the Logray to help fund the purchase)

I've been collecting for 22 years now on and off and last year completed my loose run minus a Blue Snag and VCJ. I have a few boxed vehicles and playsets but most of my stuff is on top of the wardrobe and under the bed. As some of you may know I was lucky enough to pick up a great condition boxed Scout Walker at the tail end of last year and decided to get an acrylic case for it.

Well that doesn't fit on top of the wardrobe and I'm rapidly running out of space for my little collection so I've decided to sneak it into the study in our house, stake a claim and slowly take it over for my collection! You can see from the pic below it's a nice bookcase to display my collection on and the chicken Walker has pride of place.

I've just bought some book cases for the spare room and my plans are to move some of the stuff off the bookcase so I can get my Star Wars stuff on there instead and I plan to update you with photos as the collection grows.

Thanks for looking
Jay
I've added a couple more pieces to the collection and reorganised the collecting room (book shelf) for 2019. I've updated the original post but I've kept the old pics here for comparison.
