I don't recall owning this one as a kid. Prob looked a bit boring on the pegs with so many other cool figures to purchase!
I do have this as a moc and loose...i'll try to locate and post![]()
cool signed cardback you have there, thanks for sharing itRemember my mum getting me this figure from a car boot sale years ago had no idea who he was. Got him to sign my cardback a couple of years ago at echo when working with him a real nice guy.
LolMadine was the first Jedi figure I bought from my local toy shop. I seem to remember he was the only Jedi figure in there.
I rushed home to show my two friends that I'd found a new figure in the shop. However, they had both been that morning and had managed to both get Biker Scouts!
So I felt a bit let down with my Madine!
And rightly so![]()

I'm not a huge fan of signed sealed MOC's, but when it's just a cardback, I think it's a great idea! Thanks mate, I agree would never get a nice MOC signed if it's damaged or just the card back in cool with that.I'm not a huge fan of signed sealed MOC's, but when it's just a cardback, I think it's a great idea! Thanks for sharing yours

Each to their own! LOLI'm in the minority here, but I loved/still love my General Madine figure. Don't know what it was about him, but I thought he was brilliant. He had great shiny boots which helped, because I thought they looked excellent.![]()
Personally never minded ID figureEach to their own! LOL. Mind you, I can't comment as I'm a fan of the Imperial Dignitary, and there doesn't seem to be many collectors that can say that!
As a kid I used him as Obi Wan had no idea if he was good or bad just a man with a beard though yep that can be obi wanI'm in the minority here, but I loved/still love my General Madine figure. Remember getting him from a toy fair as a kid was over joyed to get another last 17Imperial Dignitary is a figure I didn't know about till later, but when I saw him in person for the first time I had to get him. He is pretty cool too
Impressive have a few variants myself just can't display themThe good General? A dull figure to many perhaps, but for me it does at least hold the dubious distinction of being the first MOC I ever owned after I started collecting again in the early 90's. Way back in the late 1980's, I was amazed to find a pair of carded Madines whilst rummaging in my mother's bedroom drawers for some Sellotape. I wasn't collecting again yet, but I was still astonished to find them there and so I asked her what she was doing with them. She replied she'd bought them cheaply and thought they might make nice presents for some young lads. I rolled my eyes at that, and felt very sorry for the poor sod who was randomly given a General Madine as a present years after the films had ended! Little was I to know it at the time, but it turned out that I was one of those poor sods, as when, a few years later, I did start collecting again, my mother still had one of them and was quite happy to offload it onto me!
And here it is! A mint Palitoy 65B twin-stemmed General Madine that spent years of its existence languishing unloved in a drawer.

And it wouldn't be me without some loose variants, so here they are! From left to right (please note, the staffs are not correctly distributed in the photos; I have reallocated them since):
Taiwan L1a, R1a figure - Moulded face, green hair, dark red/brown belt, dark blue eyes. Currently incorrectly paired with an M1 Smile Staff as a placeholder, but a correct M2 Taiwan staff is hopefully on its way.
Smile L1b, R1a figure - Moulded face, grey hair, light brown belt, dark blue eyes. Smile M1 Staff.
Unitoy L1b, R2a figure - Pink painted face, darker grey hair, dark brown belt, light blue eyes. Unitoy M3 Staff.
Unitoy L1b, R2b figure - Yellow painted face (discoloration?), slightly lighter (than the Unitoy figure above!) darker grey hair, dark brown belt, dark blue eyes. Unitoy M3 Staff.
Lili Ledy L1a, R2b figure - Moulded pink face, dark beard, dark brown belt, pale blue eyes, glossy boots and gloves, glossy darker blue arms, darker grey body. Paired with a placeholder M1 Smile Staff (not shown) as missing correct Ledy staff.
