Hi guys.

I was wondering how correct this book is with their valuations. Now baring in mind that valuations can rise or fall + taking into consideration the condition of the figure and the fact that this book was published in 2005. I was wondering if it was possible if someone could tell me how correct the valuations are in this book.

Below I have added examples taken from the book of the first 12 figures and their values according to this book.

1978 First 12
Luke Skywalker Version1 (Blonde Hair): Loose £28
Luke Skywalker Version2 (Brown Hair): Loose £45
Princess Leia Organa: Loose £35
Han Solo Version1 (Small Head): Loose £28
Han Solo Version2 (Big Head): Loose £18
R2-D2: Loose £13
C3PO: Loose £10
Stormtrooper: Loose £13
Obi Wan Kenobi Version1 (White Hair): Loose £10
Obi Wan Kenobi Version2 (Grey Hair): Loose £10
Darth Vader: Loose £10
Jawa Version1 (Vinyl Cape): Loose £180
Jawa Version2 (Fabric Cape): Loose £10
Sand People/Tusken Raider: Loose £10
Chewbacca Version1 (Green Crossbow - Early Bird): Loose £35
Chewbacca Version2 (Black Crossbow): Loose £10
Death Squad Commander/Star Destroyer Commander: Loose £18

Thats the figures for the first 12 and their variants according to the book. below is the price for the Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight as this figure seems to be very common (I myself have 2 of them)

1983
Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight Version1 (Sewed together cape): Loose £50
Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight Version2 (Button up cape): Loose £35

If anyone knows about this sorta thing feel free to express your opinions on the valuations I have stated above

These all seem very high - i don't think they've got those prices in a long time

these seem about right for mintish figs, if anything the R2 is a bit low for todays prices

All them figures are ending on ebay all the time. You can pick them up cheap enough. Ebay is the best price guide

These two the prices should be flipped. The button cape is the more expensive one. However, saying that I would agree that the prices are on the very high side.

i don't know you try and get a vc jawa for 180, i have one now and it cost me more than that and i was looking for over 12 months. so sadly and think it would cost you more than 180 for a mint loose vc jawa i say at the very least 200.

they've gone up a lot recently - it wasn't so long ago that £100-£125 was a normal price

snap cape luke is definately the rarer, also blue saber seems to sell for more.

VC jawa's are up and down, one seller see's one go for £300 and puts his up for £350 or best offer. I got a bargain toltoys vc jawa for £225 not so long ago, sold it for £550, it had a nick in the cape under the arm as well.

if you keep an eye out i would think with the recession you will see the price come down as people get more flexible with the price.
