My absolute favourite
I received a Trilogo cut card R2 for Xmas 85, I suspect in a stocking, and managed to find a replacement on eBay a year or two ago.

I see these cut cards around now and again, were they what kids did back then or some sort of factory reject/shop deal?

I know a lot are from Kenner/Palitoy staff shops. Others, similar to my original one, will have been parents squeezing figures into Xmas stockings etcMini99 wrote:You’ve hardly changed a bit...lejackal wrote:My absolute favourite

Nice cut card and a terrific childhood photo! I wish I had some pictures of me in the 70's and 80's with my toys, but alas I don't, so I have to make do with looking at other people's!lejackal wrote:My absolute favourite

Is it just the photo (or maybe my eyes!), but is the middle (and lowest) of R2's front dome lights blue rather than red, like on the Droid Factory R2's dome? If so, I've never seen one like that before. Either way, thanks for sharing

Some lovely examples. Hope to see a few more Carded examples. Here’s my loose version. I did have a few more until recently but started a little super mini focus on Yoda instead of R2.
