Stu, you mentioned Han or Harn, and you'd think we all know how to pronounce the lead characters. But there is also Princess Lee-a or Princess Lay-a...

I said Lee-a all through my childhood (which I think is probably wrong) but nowadays i'll alternate between both, and hopefully be right at least some of the time.

I was a bit disappointed to see the new character in The Last Jedi be called something as normal sounding as Rose.. but at least we'll all be able to say it!

I reckon I say them all wrong... I've never changed (and won't change) from my interpretations of the pronunciations as a child:

Nee un Nun
Wee Quay
Klartoo
Han (not Harn)
Princess Lee-a
Bobba Fett
Den Gar
Zuck Us
AT AT (not A.T.A.T)
Booosh
Low Grey
Obi One (not Wan or Won)
Gumorr-ean (as opposed to Gam Or Ean)

Are you sure?
Sorry, I can't tell if you're being serious or gently poking fun at me (if so, I can take it!) :-D, but OK, I'll assume you are asking me seriously, so... That's how all of the Vintage cards spell his name, as did and still does Lucasfilm, so yes I am sure

Just to confuse matters however, there is of course another Sullustan Pilot in Return of the Jedi whose name IS Numb; Ten Numb:

Ten Numb is of course not the same character as Nien Nunb, and Kenner never made a figure of Ten Numb. It took until Hasbro's modern figure line many years later before that happened :)
I was joking  I just couldn't believe that in almost 40 years I never realised it was Nien Nunb

I wouldn't feel too bad about it. I'm sure you're not alone in making that mistake :-D

If it makes you feel any better, I am very embarrassed to report that it took me well into my adult years before I realised that the month of the year is FebRuary with two 'R's, rather than Febuary  ... I think the less said about that, the better!
