Love the Woolworths price tags on the bandolier Andy, plus not seen a wockling in box or the puzzle before! Great stuff!!

Cheers for the comments Jez!

Had a great moment today, started with a £15 customs charge and ended on a nice positive!
Ordered these 2 from eBay and assumed green sabre!
But it's blue!!! Yay! Not bad for about £140 for the 2 (including bullshit customs charge!)

in a bunch of broken figures i spy with my han hoth variant eye....

a beheaded han hoth moulded legs.

the head was in the lot also

the figure is in really good nick asides the beheading

rather than glue it on i wanted to rotate it like it once did

i found a random toy part which is identical to the length and diamter on a vintage figure peg. i modified it and removed the broken peg aand inserted the new peg and it now rotates like it once did and you would even tell its been fixed

enjoy

Well that's a thing of beauty! :D

The replacement peg worked a treat, do you know what it was from?

Great spot with the Han Hoth mate!
Plus a pretty amazing repair!
Always assumed the head was part of the body, not sure why I thought that!

Congratulations, great job on bringing another fingure back from the dead.

Roundster, really like that Luke Jedi, good buy even with the customs charge.

Some fabulous pieces! Sandpeople is spectacular Nick. Also love the R5, Rich and Ed, that run is fantastic 8) Simon, great price on the Amanaman and good work with the tape- used duct tape a few times now- works really well, but you've got to have nerves of steel!

Got this fella the other day. Wanted one for a while, but prices seem to have gone up so much, especially for anything half decent. Was reasonably priced, so pulled the trigger. Sorry for the crappy pic...

Loads of great items and fantastic tale of repair Chris (poncho)

But other Chris (Cazza) I love that Vader - great figure on an ESB card

As many of u know I'm not a cardback collector but had to snap this up when I came across it :!: Really good condition as cardbacks go and not easy to find :!:
Needless to say Vader was all powerful in Empire really showing his ruthlessness so having a Palitoy logo Empire Vader cardback is v cool for me even though I am primarily a MOC collector 8)

Poncho - dude thats a great spot and an even better repair job, top work!
PalitoyJunky - I totally agree with you, that ESB Vader cardback looks the absolute business

You really can learn something every day in this hobby. I've just picked up the Star Wars issue of Gamester magazine, complete with all the inserts and unused game sheet. It's not dated but the editorial refers to it being a new magazine for the new year, which dates it to January 1978.

What's interested me is that I already had a copy of just the game sheet, sealed in cellophane. I couldn't work out why it would have been sealed as I had thought that it was only available as an insert in the magazine. It turns out on talking with a friend that he got his copy in the 70s by saving Green Shield stamps and exchanging them at the local garage. Sure enough on closer inspection the sealed game sheet has a subtle difference, with 'Green Shield' printed at the top above the Gamester logo. I'd speculate that the magazine was so popular that perhaps the game sheet was issued as a separate stand-alone product? Anyway, it's a nice UK item and a new discovery for me at least.
