Congrats, it's a big, imposing cool looking piece and much rarer (smaller numbers existing) than the carded figures that also sell for the £300+ mark.

Thanks, I had one back in the early 90's but sold it for £35 at one of the Cheshunt shows :( Weirdly, I found out recently who bought it back then - and still has it! Needless to say he won't sell it back to me, not even for £70, 100% profit!

It was one of the things I had to have back because as an illustrator and designer I think it's one of the nicest logos ever created :) And it will look bloody great on display!

Really glad you bagged this piece, went to the right person and such fantastic news! :D

That's a big one down for you on your wants list but I'm sure there's the next thing that will take it's place pretty soon. The hobby that just keeps giving ( and taking from our bank accounts  ).

That was quite fun... normally comments on the forum threads build up slowly - but this was more like live blogging!

Does anyone know the date when the next Vectis auction is? And would this be the Wales toy shop find or the Palitoy Death Star find?

Yes it was fun, but there is still some star wars stuff left

Phew I lost! I bid £160 for Han, Lando and Leia Bespin which were nice ROTJ MOCs but with fees it would probably be a touch too expensive but hey I loved watching it and learn't a lot IE use Invaluable instead of the Vectis site and bid live next time! Looking forward to the 30th :D

£750 for the speeder bikes, don't think that's too bad actually considering it's sealed. Hope it's gone to somebody that will keep it that way, there's probably not much to be made piecing it out anyway.

Impulse buy! Always wanted a shipping box and this was relatively affordable

I managed to get the first sealed Jabba the Hutt - perhaps a little more than I wanted to pay, but man I've been after a decent sealed one for a long time now :D feels great to finally get one.
