Well I collect modern and I like POTF 2 stuff as well it's all Starwars in my eyes and it's great to walk into big toy shops and see racks and racks of Starwars ....reminds me of my childhood in the late 70's and early 80's (I'm 45 so I were bang in the middle of the vintage era as well).....

I have loads of vintage as well as my modern toys and the best thing about my vintage is that I've had it all since I were a young lad (well 99% of it with the few exceptions I've bought from great forum members on here 8) )

Vintage is the pinnacle there's no doubting that but there has to be a place for modern in this great Starwars universe no matter what anyone says :D

Same for me Russ I buy things I like weather vintage or modern, years ago 90's - 2000's I wanted one of everything but ended up selling most of ep1 - 2 at boot sales and only keeping the items I liked , now just limit my buying to items I like. :)

Just thought i'd post a photo of the missus' slippers

Mate - you are among friends, no need for a cover story :D

No need for a cover, those are cool slippers any self-respecting male would enjoy wearing (indoors......in their own bedroom :D )

H,mmn displaying them is going to be difficult, I have mine on the bottom shelf of a long display cabinet, which you can't really see that well, you could put them in a detolf glass cabinet but you'd need a couple of them at least to not have them all crammed in there, I'm sure others will chime in with other ideas :D

Nav this is an offer not to be passed on mate 8)

That's a superb collection mate very well done 8)

I wanna see the 2 pack line in that lot as well :D (you no you want to  )

I can't really comment on what type of cabinet to display your treasure in mate, all I would say is whatever cabinet you choose make sure it's got a door on as it'll stop any dust getting onto your toys, what would be good is it's fully made of glass and has some type of 'down light' installed so in a darkened room with the light on it'll look the ballax (hope this makes sense)

As I stumble across cheap modern stuff I'm being drawn in slowly. Not going overboard as I save my money for vintage, but I was in Home Bargains today and couldn't believe the prices of some stuff. The single Hot Wheels cars were £1.99 (RRP £4.99) and they had the twin packs for £3.99 (RRP £10.99) but I had the ones they had there. The Mash 'ems (I know, they're pretty awful) were £6.99 for the twin packs (RRP £24.99, I think) and what I particularly liked was the fact that at least two of them were iconic ESB: Luke Bespin v Vader and Han Bespin v Boba Fett (I know they never fought!). Someone will have to help with Yoda v Palpatine, I'm guessing that's prequels. The jigsaws were cool as they were £1 each and if you get all three they go side by side and make up one larger picture. The stationary was daft cheap. The erasers and the propelling pencils were 69p each and the pencil case with some bits and pieces was 89p. What can you get for that money now?? They also has small single erasers at 10p, large at 15p and pencils at 10p each. It was like being back in the 80s except with money :) Anyway, the whole lot cost me £42. Amazing. Wouldn't get a Logray MOC for that!
