First Blood hand made knife..

Hey Guy's,,

I thought I would share my latest purchase,, it is a hand made movie exact replica of the knife used by Sylvester Stallone in the 1982 classic First Blood.

The original knifes for the movie were made by legendary knife smith Jimmy Lile,, an original Lile movie used knife came up for auction recently and fetched $90,000..

My knife is made by U.K knife smith Andy Wood and he made 30 of these tribute knifes and the quality is just outstanding.

I purchased this with some of the money I made form selling my entire Star Wars collection recently.

nice knife mate , i have the boxed united cutlery rambo 2 knife and will add part one very soon to my collection ! , did andy wood get permission to use the lile name on these ?? has yours got the lile name on it as well ??

Hey Slim,

I also had the united cutlery versions from First Blood and Rambo 2 and they were great knives.

Andy did have permission in the beginning to use the Lile name on his knifes, but for reasons unknown Lile no longer wanted him to use the name so my knife is stamped WOOD after the maker.

I personally think they ended there agreement due to Vaughn Neeley selling his First Blood knife on the Lile website (with the Lile stamp) and did not want it clash with Andy Wood's knife.

In all honesty I would rather my knife be stamped with Andy's name as he is the maker after all.

Yeah mate this is the only one I have now,, I sold my united cutlery one's a while back they looked great though and I liked the boxes.. you will proberly have to get the First Blood one from ebay USA as ebay UK no longer permits knife sales..

Yeah I think you are spot on there mate,, the quality is equally as good and has the right grind, weight and feel as Andy copied his own #13 Lile First Blood knife.
