So that auction starts at 10.30am on Thursday, not sure when the Palitoy VCJ will be up.

Are we going to do a book on how much it will go for?

My initial guess was £15k based on there only being a couple known to exist, not knowing about the bubble damage and not being entirely sure what the AFA 75 one sold for.

Given that we now think that 5/6 may exist, the bubble damage doesn't look that bad to make it much worse than a AFA 75, the AFA 75 one went in a private sale for a bit over
the failed £11.3k ebay auction, the number of collectors declaring themselves out due to provenance issues and the excellent publicity from Vectis most recently on BBC
breakfast, the Vectis estimate of between £6 and £8k, I'm going to revise my estimate on this to £10k. This is before any of the auction fees etc are taken off.

So here's the book:-

£619348 - Starzone
£28838 - Maulster79
£23000 - Jez
£20500 - theslider
£18500 - Dark Sith Lord
£17500 - kieatky
£17000 - Cc4rhu
£16300 - ponchobelt
£15000 - fuzzzybuzzytoys
£14500 - RebelRunner
£14250 - Christian
£13700 - db94
£13600 - chrisfnx
£13500 - TC-14
£13100 - PGowdy
£12500 - Bramistuta25
£12100 - 8bitaaron
£12000 - mumbo
£11700 - Stargeezer
£11666 - JuniorChubb
£11570 - aussiejames
£11500 - Hothrebel
£11200 - BlueDog
£10950 - jasdev999
£10800 - Lee77
£10750 - walkie
£10500 - jedi_masters

I'll take a punt at 8877 GBP, I know there'll be at least one board member here who hopes it's closer to this amount than over 10K and best of luck to anyone making a bid on it. Such an amazing piece to own! :D

A lot of hype but not sure this one is worth anywhere near what the other one sold for plus there are the auction fees to consider - so I am going 8000

IMHO due to the excellent promo job done by Vectis (who doesn't now know this little beauty is available?) outweighs any doubts of provenance and the minor bubble damage and hence I'm going to say £14250.

The only thing that really frustates me though is that Kathy has it in a damn star case! I should have sent her one of my acrylic cases FOC! :p

Good luck to any bidders.

Christian

Lol Christian, you don't normally miss a trick !!!

I'm gonna go for £10800 before commission and the rest of it. Hopefully it goes for less and Nick grabs a bargain.

Hmmm im in at £7900 its an amazing piece but i just cant see that many people in a position to duke 8k plus out on a Star Wars figure.

I think this is a more attractive piece than the one that went for £11k due to great marketing and less uncertainty about the piece itself so I'm going for 15k for FTW

I've been on a total losing streak with regards to competitions, and have generally been totally wrong, so I'll say £23,000 and hope that I'm way off.
Go for it Nick :D
