Serious as **** (iTunes)

Ever Since putting my little digits on the rubber keys of a Spectrum 48k in 1983 and the hundreds of devices that have followed over the decades,

I have never, EVER, seen/used a worse interface than iTunes.

The thing is a ****ing joke.

Over complex multi menus/pages.

Sync's random **** I haven't asked it to.

Leaves songs or entire albums out of the sync.

Doesn't recognise albums in my library on my iPhone menu.

BIGGEST PIECE OF **** I HAVE EVER USED IN MY LITTLE WORLD OF TECHNOLOGY! :evil:

My Iphone I have had for 3 years- no smashed screen- its on 24 hours a day and has only crashed twice. A wonderful piece of kit. Maybe the best technology I have owned. BUT ****ING ITUNES!!!!!!!!

Is there an MP3 player with a simple drag and drop interface on it?

I'm 100% with you there, unsynced albums are a pain. I resolved this issue by downloaded a free Mp3 tag editor and added the album title into the tags and track number. Pain in the arse but that's life!!

Stef- My OCD means that all my MP3's from when I started in 1999 till now are all 100% tagged correct. I even have '- or :' in the right places.

Im ruthless with tagging and wont even let an album in my library unless its done right.

I cant believe they released this piece of ****. It must be engineered to benefit apple in some way.

Why the **** has it now put an App back on my phone I deleted 2 years ago?

Apple/iTunes are a joke, so complex and isolated, they create proprietary stuff for the sake of it.

If they made it open and compatible it would go down a storm.

i hate the fact that if you want to find out how to do something, you end up googling it for ages only to find other boards with other people asking the same question with no answers?

when they introduced that whole hide albums thing it took me ages to find them again.

I must say i've never had an issue with iTunes. I use it every day and have over 9000 songs on there. Have it set up just the way i like it. Have everything categorised and sub categorised for ease of use and track selection when DJing.
Also, what's an unsynched album?? :?

If you could have all you music on the phone, it would be fine but there isn't enough storage and the cloud doesnt work if you are on the move. Having to pick and choose is a pain and trying to add albums is very difficult. It randomly removes tracks and stores them as separate albums

its good with sorting music and playing music. start synching with your phone.. thats a mess. is good to back-up your phone though. I once tried jailbreaking, good to know itunes had kept a lovely copy of my phone in case I messed up (which I did the first time round).

itunes store is a pile of cat cocks, searching finding then returning to your search results, it just ignores and throws you back.
its slow connecting to the store (I dont buy stuff, I download excellent podcasts. )

i still connect with my iphone 3gs (yes people, I still use a 3gs, its now a mission of mine to see how many years it lasts before apple come round the house and take it off me ) and its still actually quite good (i manage to get Katy Perry's greatest hits, Belinda Carlisle's entire back catalogue and every track of the Velvet Underground onto it, so thats nice = several hundred other bits of music)

Grant, sometimes tracks do disappear.

Haha, i don't DJ with iTunes. Itubes s just where i store and categorise my music. I use DJ software called Traktor but it uploads what's in my iTunes.
