Guys i have been thinking did kenner just get a big sheet of vinyl and cut each 1. If so there must be a company out there that makes vinyl. Do you think it would be possible to sent them 1 and they could make a identical repo. I really think it is possible to get a exact match

It probably is possible Ron, but the expense of making up an exact match would be too much to make a few repro jawa capes.

Spoons i reckon if you found a place that made vinyl you could send them 1 and they made a exact match. I dont think it would be that hard

they would have to make a die cutter for them and you'd have to get the waffle pattern just right.. that pattern im guessing was made via the roller wheels that pressed the vinyl into sheets - so i think that may be hard to match now possibly

this is only me guessing tho.. not hard facts

i chatted to a printer firm back along... i was enquiring about making a die cutter to cut out r2-d2 stixckers...

they would have to be "kiss cut" so u could peel them off etc...

i cant remember the price he said but it wasnt cheap....

I may be wrong, but for it to be an exact match, would it have to be of exactly the same type of material they were using in 1977?

Surely in the past 30 years, technology has movd on and the material is now different?

whoever did them could'nt have had much eye for detail or reconed once they were on,no one would pay much attention to it.

most deffinatly die cut, with a sticky back, perferated in two places so as not to tear when pealing off.as you say pity there in reverse because they would'nt have been that bad.
