These are my top 5 iconic space ships when I was growing up, and ones I built lego models of etc.
5 - Original TV Series Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy Heart of Gold
Not the crappy round ball in the movie remake, the one with Zaphod Beeblebrox at the helm with 2 proper heads (the second one was a crappy BBC animatronic admittedly)
4 - 2001 Discovery One
Loved this ship and how they ran round the inside as it span to create artificial gravity. HAL was pretty cool too, if a bit mad.
3 - Blakes 7 Liberator
Zen the spaceship computer was dull, but ORAC, the perspex box full of xmas tree lights made up for it. Cool teleporter with bracelets too.
Loved the symmetry of the main body with 3 surrounding pods.
2 - Original Series Enterprise
NCC 1701 all the way. No crappy A/B/C/D/E make overs for me. Loved the classic shot of it rounding the planet in the original series opening credits.
1 - Star Wars Millenium Falcon
Han Solo was the ultimate space pilot. Loved the ship layout, sticky out cockpit and the classic shot of him flying out of the sun after shooting
Darth Vaders tie fighter in the Death Star trench.
cheers Jason
