Just realised there are two boxes of Snowspeeders, one is sealed though.

So you could have 12 spaces for the snowspeeders if everyone doesnt mind the shipping case being opened?

Assuming we're all happy with a max. of £200 each after fees as discussed in the original thread, that would require a bid of £912 (+ 24% = £1200)

Its going to take more than that I reckon.

how much you think Marc 225-250 per item? still a bargain really if they are totally mint, just no idea of knowing how good a condition they will be in after 20+ years stored in a leaky damp toy shop, or are these the ones from the sales rep?

BTW WTF happened to the case of Death Star play sets :?

I don't think £200 is a bargain...about the going price.

All the items look ok to me. Here are the pics:

OK that's the X-Wings and one box of Snowspeeders spoken for assuming _LEE_ still wants in (please confirm.) Personally I'm against opening sealed shipping cases but if others want to bid on the second box of speeders they're welcome to. Still 4 AT-STs going if anybody wants to join me! :)

Marc - you may be right but this gives us all a chance to get one at a reasonable price, if somebody wants to pay well over market value good luck to them but I think our price point should at least compete with the resellers.

Sorry guys but when have you seen a case fresh predominant vehicle like an X Wing sell for less than £200 on the open market? 10 years ago maybe.
Trust me when I say I'd love to be wrong about a low estimate but £200 each including fees is not going to cut it if you are serious about trying to win.

Admittedly I'm no expert om X-Wings but the last three sealed bi-logo AT-STs sold on eBay have gone for £150-£200, that's what my price was based on (in fact that's the one I'm most interested in personally!)

What do you think would be required Marc?

Last year two sealed snowspeeders sold for £200 each.

I've been offered £150 for an open unused one I have in my collection.

It probably will go for more than £1200 but I think alot of it is down to the shipping box aswell.

The box of speeder bikes that sold on the 15th, were worth about £50 each...there was 12 in the box, so a value of £600 ish.

This started at £700...and I dont know the end price.

Not sure what else we can do...we still have to have a max price that each of us is willing to pay.

Hi Edd, bi logo AT STs sealed examples are a dime a dozen compared to what we are talking about here.
Sure a bargain would be sweet but if you are serious about wanting a case fresh MINT ROTJ Palitoy X Wing think what your top bid would be for one if you saw it on ebay. Numbers mentioned so far are too low.
Bear in mind AFAers are going to be all over this.

Yes that's fair enough, as said I'm not X-Wing expert so if you can let us know what you think is realistic we can decide and drop out if necessary. But sounds like we're pretty on the money for the Speeder and AT-ST. Of course it is a gamble but so is every auction, you never know what things will go for.

As I see it, I'm happy to put £200 in each of the pots - If we walk away with nothing on the day, well we gave it our best shot! And as Edd has already said, if someone wants to bid more than us, then fair play to them, but there is no sense bidding more than the fair market value. If we walk away with one lot, then I'd be over the moon with that!

As nicer idea as this is, a warning guys, the toys packed in the cases on either end may not be in quite as good a condition and may have small dints, so who gets those? You have to be careful this doesn't end a beautiful friendship when divvying up!

It would not surprise me if the X-Wings sell for £2k plus fees. Pretty remarkable stuff. We've seen cases of the others come up before but not X-Wings!
