Trilogo or POTF?

So I'm soon going to be on to the Last 17 cardbacks for my cardback run. I started doing it a few weeks back as I felt the buzz to get involved again.

So which is your favorite? Trilogo or POTF? I have to admit I love the Trilogos with the £1:59 sticker , or any UK price tags but I have to admit that the POTF line looks so much better. It's just brighter and more appealing to the eyes! The good thing about Trilogo is that every figure was released on that card, minus the hybrid cards but that's a massive plus.

It's the Tri Logo for me, as thats what I used to get as a reward for the dentist, and going to Asda. I don't think you can get a Tri Logo power droid, but someone more knowledgeable will verify.

Being British I would probably say tri-logo over the POTF... although the quality of print production is not great on the tri-logo cardbacks, the colours are off and the photos are very dark, almost like the contrast has been ramped up.

Personally POTF. Really like Tri Logo as well only issue is the bubble gets damaged so easily

As far as PD is concerned generally accepted that wasn't released on TL but poss as a miscard? As I have read in the past that there were a couple of PD TL released that dealers had through their hands, need someone knowledgeable about the Gonk , maybe Frank may know?

Trilogos, better investment as the bubbles are less likely to yellow.

There was a newsagent practically opposite, it had a lot of toys and lines. I hated the dentist after having gas and air .

For me, it's POTF. I think the cards look better with a more professional and cleaner design, IMHO, and they are certainly made of stronger card stock and have less fragile bubbles. That said, the POTF bubbles are of course much more prone to yellowing, which is a big negative, but overall, I still prefer the POTF MOC's over Tri-logo's.

@Michael Sith , I've never seen a PD on a Tri Logo card.

I added (H) to the figures found on Hybrid cards. Original R2 and Threepio can be found on miscards. PD, bumface, Zuck and 4-lom I think are definitely not available, but never say never I guess. @sith-smith might be able to confirm

In my early days of collecting when I basically knew nothing, I remember picking up a Trilogo and thinking something was fake about it. Not sure why as I had some Trilogo as a kid

Needless to say I've never been a huge fan of the Trilogo. I did get the last 17 on Tri when I first put a run of moc together because I didn't like the look of the POTF...didn't look like the Star Wars I knew. That said, a year later I completed the entire POTF run.

Overall, I prefer the Trilogo to POTF. I had some as a kid and so there's that sentimental aspect. I sold my entire POTF run sometime ago and about 5 years ago I started selling off a lot of my Trilogo. Just keeping debuts and ones that form part of a character run. And of course the miscards.

To my knowledge, no original C3P0 has been found on a Trilogo miscard. Original R2 has, on both the sensorscope and pop-up saber cards.

Not a big fan of the tri-logo but i do like the fact they have larger images. I think the forign text on the logos used to put me off wanting them as a kid.

I remember the local newsagents having the POTF range and wondering if they were actually Star Wars as the packaging looked so different!

I must have bought Han Carbonite and Luke Stormtrooper from there as they were the only 2 last 17 figures i had in my original collection....I even recall throwing the coins away not knowing what they were

If i had to choose then i would go for POTF range.
