I don't think bootlegs or most protypes look good either. I've no interest in collecting them, but I can see why some people do. If everyone just collected the same stuff SW collecting would be dull, and a lot more expensive.

My question was not about why people collect bootlegs or Uzay's, I mean I collect dust. But why they command such a ludicrous price? A group of collectors out there must be taking the piss.

They command a high price due to popularity and rarity, the people that you think are taking the piss are the ones spending their hard earned money on this stuff so why are you bothered? If they are taking the piss it's only out of themselves so who cares?

If you are a genuine collector who wants to post on a forum you don't turn up and start ranting about something that you don't even collect, it just makes you look like a twat or a troll.

FWIW- I don't like or collect bootlegs either but I do appreciate their place in the hobby and I totally get why people collect them.
